Gen X Radio Suffolk was conceived by the esteemed local radio personality, James Hazell, who has been dedicated to serving East Anglia's listeners for over 35 years. During this period, Suffolk has witnessed a significant decline in local commercial radio presence. While Suffolk was at the forefront of local radio with Radio Orwell's launch in 1975, there are currently no commercial stations broadcasting from the region. This lack not only limits listener options but also hinders small to medium-sized businesses from reaping the benefits of radio advertising.
James and his team's objective is to reintroduce authentic and cost-effective local radio to Suffolk. The station aims to offer a dynamic blend of dialogue, news, and debates intertwined with music spanning the past six decades. A touch of amusement will be ever-present.
Embracing a stance of pride for Suffolk, the radio station will champion individuals fostering positive change in Suffolk life and raise questions to those with influence in our county. Establishing connections with both Suffolk's listeners and businesses, the station aspires to be a reliable ally and an engaging, entertaining platform for all.
